The Health of Older Family Caregivers–A 6-Year Follow-up

New study aims to describe physical, mental and functional health in relation to family care in old age (60+) over a six-year period. Sölve Elmståhl, professor and coordinator for EpiHealth is behind the study and he is co-author of the article "The Health of Older Family Caregivers - A 6-Year Follow-up" which has been published in the Journal of Gerontological Social Work.

The study shows that there are differences between caregivers and non-caregivers in the deterioration of physical and mental health as well as physical function over a six-year period.
